How will you remember the 2000's

Well, the first decade of the 21st century is coming to a close. How will you remember these past 10 years?

I'm only 19 years old, so I don't have much to reference it to.

The good:
I think I will remember it by how much the internet exploded from an interesting and productive idea, to a collection of societies. I'll remember the creation of MxO, and all of the Mobile Technology advances.

The bad:
9/11, a couple of wars, SOE taking MxO, the Economy. Good times, good times.

I was just writing about this idea this morning. Good things were steady professional growth and advancement, family life, lots of great books, some great games. The good years of MxO. Tons of great music to download, not to mention P2P and Usenet. Great times, man!

Downside: DN1, SOE, 9/11, the economy, getting laid off for a year from my main gig. But everything bounces back, except for SOE and 9/11. Oh, and DN1, too.

Good: Girlfriend, Guild Wars (also my guildies!), University/College, Consoles. Megaupload ... eerr i mean the web.
My own .com (is 8 years old!) . My laptop(s), my mac. My holidays. Many PC games.... Too many things.


Bad: College, college, college... finances afecting college paying me. Time spent on college. The goverments trying to rule through bussiness plans from the RRIA or equivalent...

7. Weekend trip to Anaheim, California at Blizzcon 09 - good

8. 9/11 - sad

9. Election of 2008 - sad
