We have more emu projects going at once than when SWG started their long journey into emulation.

swg was always basically one emu, same as here, some people forked their stuff, but nothing came of it in the long term (same as here)
except, with swg, people actually cared, so their main team grew fast
and is now full of competent developers that work with each other

And if i may ask,how come making lets say a World of Warcraft private/pirat server is alot easier than making a emu of Matrix online? If Somneone could please explain,i would be verry grateful
